MONCTON (N.B.) — For the first time in Lotto 6/49 history, the Wednesday, Sept. 27 draw guarantees the Gold Ball will be drawn and someone in Canada will win the all-time high jackpot of $68 million.

Lotto 6/49 offers players the chance to win two multi-million-dollar jackpots on every $3 play.

The Classic Draw offers a $5-million jackpot on every draw night, which are Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Gold Ball draw guarantees a winning ticket every draw night, with the winner taking home either $1 million if a white ball is drawn, or the growing Gold Ball jackpot if a gold ball is drawn. The growing Gold Ball jackpot is currently worth a record $68 million and no white balls remain, meaning the gold ball is guaranteed to be drawn and someone will win the $68-million jackpot Wednesday night.

An outstanding Gold Ball jackpot worth $64 million won in Gloucester Co., N.B. from the April 15, 2023 draw remains unclaimed. This is the largest lottery prize ever won in Atlantic Canada and the corporation is working to raise awareness in hopes that the winner will come forward to claim their prize.
