MONCTON (N.B.) – Shelby Worth of Summerside, P.E.I. was purchasing her weekly Lotto Max tickets on alc.ca when she decided to use the funds remaining in her account to try out the new MEGA 360 Instant Win game. After a non-winning first spin, Worth gave it another try and won a spin on the MEGA 360 wheel, ultimately leading to a $400,000 prize.

“It just doesn’t feel real yet,” Worth said. “I just can’t believe I’ve won. It’s changed my life.”

Despite being in complete disbelief over her exciting win, Worth said she has long dreamed of winning a major lottery prize.

“Last summer, three of my friends and I were in Moncton for my birthday, and we pulled into a parking lot to fix our makeup before we went for supper and it ended up being the Atlantic Lottery parking lot,” Worth said. “They got me to open my presents while we were parked and they got me a pack of Scratch tickets, so when I opened them, I jokingly said, ‘One day I’ll be back here as a winner.’”

Sure enough, Worth was back at Atlantic Lottery’s head office on Thursday, Jan. 11 to spin the big wheel. Prizes on the MEGA 360 wheel range from $100,000 to $500,000, guaranteeing anyone who spins the big wheel walks away with at least a $100,000 prize.

“When it was time to spin the wheel, the announcer said who I was, I walked through the crowd and they gave me high-fives, and my two friends were there waiting,” Worth said. “It was a game-show moment, I spun the wheel and I heard my friend say, ‘Oh my god,’ and when I looked I couldn’t believe it was $400,000. I thought I was going to pass out.”

MEGA 360 is the first Scratch, Watch and Spin game offered by Atlantic Lottery. The game can be played as either a Scratch’N Win ticket at retail or as an Instant Win game at alc.ca. Players first scratch their ticket or click through their digital game, and those who unlock the “spin” feature in their game get to watch an animated wheel spin to reveal their prize – this happens during in-store validation for Scratch’N Win tickets or online for Instant Win games. If a spin lands on “MEGA 360”, the player wins the opportunity to spin the MEGA 360 wheel at Atlantic Lottery’s head office in Moncton, N.B.

Worth and her partner have been saving to buy a home together. Thanks to her big win, she said the couple will be ready to make the purchase any time now. They are also looking forward to lots of travel, with a cruise to the Bahamas first on their list.
